Potty Training Tips

Hi! I believe there are still many of you having problems with potty training your children. Here are some tips (Well at least it works for my daughter):
  1. Avoid using disposable diapers from the very 1st day you come home from delivering at hospital, except for outdoor activities.
  2. After 6 months, he/she will start eating foods, thereby his /her poop will become more solid than before. From this time on, don’t let him /her poop in his/her pants. Use a portable potty instead.
  3. When he/she’s 8 months old, he/she’s capable of sitting straight. Now use a toilet ring instead of portable potty.
  4. When he/she’s 1 year old, you can start taking him/her periodically (every 1~1.5 hours) to the toilet. Let him/her pee in the right place. You may just wait form him/her to pee to study his/her pee-time pattern.
  5. Keep studying his/her pee-time pattern to choose the best time to take him/her to the toilet to pee.
  6. At his/her 20 months old, start not wearing diapers when you take him/her out. Just take him/her to the toilet before you leave, and when it's time to go to the toilet again when you're still out, find a toilet there as soon as possible. Just in case, always bring along extra pants and a plastic bag.
  7. Wait for the miracle! After about 2 months, he/she will go to toilet on his/her own. Even when he/she's sleeping at night.
Hope this helps you!
